 Coleus Plant Description :

  • Coleus or commonly called painted Nettle is a bushy and compact herbaceous shrub, belongs to the family Lamiaceae.
  • This Perennial herbaceous plant has a wide variety of leaf sizes and attractive
    patterns, with coarsely crenate margins. 
  • Coleus plants are characterized by semi-woody square stems and blue-white flowers produced at the top of the plant.
  • Coleus plants also bear fruit in brown, single-seeded achene-like nutlets.

  • This Painted Nettle or Common Coleus can survive in hot temperatures but cannot tolerate cold temperatures.
