How much water should I give my plants?
This question has been flagged
Water your plants when the upper layer of the soilless medium begins to dry out. Ensure even moisture but never let the mix stay soggy. Since soilless media like coco peat or vermiculite dry faster, you may need to water more often depending on light, temperature, and plant needs.
Check the soil moisture and water only when the surface begins to dry, making sure to water deeply so the roots absorb enough moisture; early morning is the best time to water, as it reduces evaporation and fungal growth while proper drainage prevents root rot.
Water your plants when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering — soggy soil can lead to root rot. Frequency depends on the plant type, pot size, and weather conditions.
Water the plant until you notice water flowing out from the bottom. The Finger Test is a useful method to determine soil moisture before you water.
